  • Sitemap: This seems to be done currently. I would like to keep this in mind as we create the full set of posts and pages: https://salaryhub.org/sitemap_index.xml

Technical

  1. As we update these each year, we need to ensure that we overwrite the current posts and not add new or append old ones.
  2. Add a cross-domain Canonical Linking. Because these page will most likely be placed on other sites. For instance, the Registered Nurisng Data will be on RNCareers.org. we need to be able to say to Google and other search engines that the the first priority for indexing is RNCareers.org. So, the canonical links would be, if we were to do pages:
  • /rncareers.org/[/registered-nurses-salary/]
  • /rncareers.org[/registered-nurses-salary/california]
  • /rncareers.org[/registered-nurses-salary/california/los-angeles-long-beach-anaheim]

Add Advertising

Add advertising units for degree search or other opportunities. Hopefully this will be in the form of a global shortcode so that we can change them without changing the php code.

Table Improvements

In the future, refinements like sorting and pages. However, this seems to take JavaScript and maybe that might be an option, but the plugins I’ve seen seem to be big and they slow the site down. At this time Kadence doesn’t have any table refinements or enhancements.

StateAverage Yearly SalaryCost-of-Living Adjusted
Oregon$98,630$96,112
Hawaii$106,530$95,125
Alaska$97,230$94,179
Nevada$88,800$91,490
Massachusetts$96,630$89,939

Graphic Elements

We need to somehow create graphic elements that help break up the wall of text and allow people to see some data graphically. Seen from around the web. These are examples for inspiration:

U.S. Map

Add a U.S. with links to the areas: Similar to this except the state list is in columns: https://www.staging.mbaguide.org/map-test/

Completed

  • TOC: See above for Kadence Blocks TOC.
  • Schema Data for Article Type: (https://rankmath.com/blog/schema-markup/) – The schema data we will want to use is for FAQ area
  • FAQ: FAQ (with schema markup): See sample below – https://share.getcloudapp.com/5zur08ZX.
